The Big Idea

Lyndal booked a Pick-My-Brain Session: one of our short, sharp strategy offerings, for help unpacking the details of a new event proposal.

She wasn’t looking for fluff. She wanted honest input, practical steps, and an experienced voice to help pressure test the idea, spot potential roadblocks, and uncover possibilities she might have missed.

So we met over coffee (naturally), and got stuck in.

How it works

Lyndal Box is the driving force behind LB Learning Solutions and the Learning Meetup community. A vibrant space for instructional designers, content developers, eLearning creators, facilitators, and learning professionals from all sectors.

Lyndal’s passion? Creating thoughtful, inclusive spaces where learning is designed with care, not just content. Her events bring people together across education, government, industry, and not-for-profits, with a shared love for better learning experiences.

She had an exciting new event idea and needed a sounding board.

Challenges We Navigated

Lyndal came into the session with a head full of brilliant ideas but also the very real weight of decision fatigue. Like many experienced professionals, she had a clear sense of purpose, but needed help distilling that into a focused plan that wouldn’t burn her out or waste resources.

The Outcome

Lyndal chose not to pursue that original event idea (a smart strategic decision in itself!). But the session gave her everything she needed to:

Clarify what she did want to focus on
Launch and grow her Learning Meetup events, which now serve as an inspiring community hub
Move forward with more confidence, more tools, and a clearer plan for future opportunities

We’ve since collaborated on small video content pieces, accessibility conversations, and inclusive business discussions, and Lyndal’s work continues to inspire and educate.
